MODULE 01
OR Basics
In this module we will discuss the basics of an operating room setup. The must haves such as the OR Table, cautery unit, warming blanket, and sequential boots. We will discuss the importance of prioritizing the needs in the room, how to stay ahead of the game, and preparing for your next case.
By the end of this module you will be able to:
Identify the basic items required to set up an OR suite for surgery so that you can feel more organized and efficient.
MODULE 02
Communication
and Confidence
In this module we will discuss the importance of clear communication, what to communicate, when to speak up, and being clear in the delivery of your message. We will look at the different communication tools and how to communicate outside of a tool or checklist.
By the end of this module you can expect to:

- Have the ability to know when and how to communicate.
- Speak up and be clear in your delivery.

MODULE 03
Tool of the Trade
This is the module of all modules. Here we are going to talk about suture, suture and more suture. We will breakdown the crazy world of SPD and learn the names of the most common instruments.
By the end of this module:
Your most burning questions regarding sutures, SPD, and instrem will be answered so that you can take the guess work out of your day.
MODULE 04
Emergency Situations
In this module we will cover the emergency situations that rarely happen in the OR yet are the most critical. Because these are events that seldom happen you need to be prepared at all times for such emergent situations, specifically code blue and malignant hyperthermia.
By the end of this module:
You will have a better understanding of emergent situations so that you are better prepared when such events arise.
MODULE 05
Anesthesia
Yay!! You made it to the last module an it's a good one. Here we will discuss your role in anesthesia and working with your anesthesiologist. We will discuss A-lines and central lines. We will talk about how is the best way to assist your anesthesiologist during induction and extubation. This module was created to help you feel more confident and less scared or intimidated.
By the end of this module:
You will have a better understanding of anesthesia practices so that you can better assist your anesthesia provider and provide safe patient care.
